When I turned 18 I was very stupid and in a manic episode I maxed out like 8 different credit cards and ruined a bank account in the span of like a month. I’m now 22 and I want to get my credit in order. My credit score is extremely low. What do I do now? Where do I get help to restore my credit if I don’t remember where the credit cards were from? Does credit really erase after 7 years?

We can pay off a big balance from one card or pay off a few credit cards with smaller balances. Does it matter since they are in default.

The magnets on my clip-ons can damage the magnetic strip on my credit cards, right? What materials can shield magnets from things they can damage?

I’ve heard both… my teacher said having a lot of credit cards will lower my score. But I also read that part of your credit score is based on the formula

how much you owe/ total credit , so in that case having more cards would be better. I have 7 cards and I only use 2 of them. Should I cancel my other cards?

My goal is to get as much credit as possible because I owe the IRS about 15k. If I apply to several card companies all at once they will see the inquries but not the cards on my credit. Will several companies give me a zero percent at once? I have 720+ credit.

I recently got a bonus with my current job, and am now able to pay them off. I already have bad credit due to late or missing payments. Now all of my cards have a high interest rates. My main goal is to improve my credit score and payoff debt. I am not really sure the best way to go about it. Thanks!

I have several credit cards. Most of them have a zero balance. I do notice the credit card companies keep sending me blank checks wanting me to take advantage of low interest rates theyre offering.
Will the financial troubles have any effect on my credit cards? If so, what?
